Off to Kenai

Off to the Kenai area... Here is a link that will give you an idea of what is to come....
http://www.kenaipeninsula.org/

I'll be meeting up with a couple Couchsurfers and also my good friend Michelle (If I can find her). I'm guessing I'll be in the Kenai area for 2 or 3 nights and when I come back north I'll stop in Anchorage for a night or two and then head north to Denali National Park..

I'd try to share more pics and video right now but, especially with the slow internet, its just creating a bit to much of a delay from just actually starting the next leg of experiences.

On the road to Salmon Glacier and then to.... Well I really don't know..

I'm suspecting I may not have another chance to update for a couple days.... but when I do the photos should be rather amazing... So check back soonish...

Off to Hyder rain or shine...

Well it seems I have been racing a storm for some time now and the thing just keeps catching up with me each time I sleep. I suppost this part of the ride is a great analogy for life... that is to say, when things are "crappy", or just look and/or seem that way, one must keep riding through. Without knowing hope (the sun) is just within reach behind a thin, ok maybe thick, layer of wet clouds..

I'm pretty sure I'm going to take off soon after I munch up my backpacker oats special.... I'm just wishing I had some whiskey handy to first thin my blood...

Anyhow today will be another day with not to many pics due to rain but I will try and here are a few to get you started.....

Arrival at Stewart, Canada and a walk to Alaska

Well let me start by saying I have 3 days of blogs, photos, and videos to share but the internet service that I have been coming accross barely is letting me upload this text. So for now this is it and hopefully tomorrow I can snag a quicker connection and upload the rest.

Ps. Yes I really did walk to Alaska AND back to Canada too. From stewart to hyder and back...

Franky has fallin in love...... :)

Lake Williams or beyond????

The road ahead of Lake Williams, I thought might have a nice spot to camp... I aimed to go beyond but heavy rains drowned me out of that thought. I rather, after a long scenic detour of wondering, ended up back in Lake Williams... Anyhow.... I am posting some photos below but will try to write a bit more in the morning as well as add a few more pics..

Update... So to catch up a bit ... I met a friend Switzerland named Gilles.. We chated about our roads thus far and shared ideas and resources for roads to come.. And now to save me mpre typing by uploading some pictures. Instead

The new grounds of Canada

These photos will be very out of order... its just easier that way :)

The first night's dinner.... Thank to my sister that gifted me a can of tomato veggie soup and pinto beans......

Say'm goodbyes to my good friend Ramster, who I stayed with in Washingron

Ut oh... Will they let me into Canada?????? Well yes they did after drilling me with questions for some time. Really wasn't too big of deal but did take about an hour.... I was glad to get this legalistic tid-bit out of the way :)

Soon after crossing the boarder the eye candy quickly begins...
A teaser for what is to come

Ahead the bridge will cross into Vancouver

Nice strong cables help my new scooter up with no problem...

The new grounds of Canada have just begun and thusfar are quickly exceeding my unknown expectations. Tonight i camped at alica lake just off of the sea to sky highway 99. The roads just ahead are said to be the steepest in. Canada at as high of grades as 14%.
Here are a few pics of the day.
