Goodbye anchorage....

Again the photos are out of order.... But anyways since Harley decided to install a tire in such a way to have me wake-up with a flat... I'm killing a bit of time here but am glad to share these last exiting the north photos... The Celebration of the night was to bring good roads ahead...

Just behind Good ol' Goerges Homestead...
The tenetive Route South.... This is about 3000 miles in 4 days.
The Stealership came and picked her up being that the tire was flat and I didn't want to roll it... (I dunno how they screwed up on changing the tire.... perhaps it was a bad tube... I'll find out soon when I go pick her up...
Oooooooops
These might not look so good but these were VERY VERY VERY good .... :) Lots of cheeze to fatten me up for the long ride to come....
Good ol' Lynn, an awesome friend who has put up with me again and again and put up with my stinky arrivals as I have been welcome to use her home as my Alasken "base camp"... Thanks Lynn I love you!!!!

Done with the north and on into the south...

Well after riding about 20ish miles up the Dalton highway it was clear that I should half listened to all to signs telling me to leave the north and head south. It felt like wet wooden railroad tracks as I crused at a low 35ish mph... I was just sliding all over the place... I could have made it, VERY slowly,  but said the hell with it, goodbye north, and hey south get ready for me... so yeah off to Sturgis I will leave riding iron butt style in the morning... See the the out of order photos withcomments for a ffew more up coming tid-bits.......

Changing my oil behind the stealership...
This was leaving my camp which was next the the brewery... an awesome place to randomly end up....
Up changin the rubber.... (for the first time)
Pickin up my new over priced tire that I could not find elseware... granted they do run allot of miles at least. OF course I had to do burn outs all the way to where I was getting it changed... 50ish miles away :)
Choose your side.... the side of soft shoulder death or the side with big rigs flying around the corner.... Shall I go on  with 400 more miles of it?
Yeah these photos are way out of order.... this just a random "something" on the side of the road
Look closely and you'll see how slippery this road was... Going just about 35 I was  trying to keep it
straight but you can see the tracks of how washy it was.... At this point I said to Franky that it was time to turn around...

The Bus...

Ironically just hours after crossing the same river that Chris unfortunately could not make it across, due to higher waters, and having an "into the wild" moment of my own, arrived in my sights the magic bus, from the film Into The Wild.

Made it back from "the wild" and am heading north...

This will be brief because I'm just at a gas station... Figured I would quickly upload a few pics from my last 3 nights backpacking in Denali Wilderness.... The place surely is wild and for now I'll leave it at just that...

Back from Kenai docks, Homer, and Kenai Fjourd Nnational Park

Back in Anchorage for a night or two... The Kenai Fjourd Nnational Park and other areas I have just come from loaded my cameras up with video and photos so I figure it is only right to share a few....

This is a photo of the further point west that one can drive/ride in Alaska

Call me an artist for the day because the photo I took through a telescope IS rather cool eh?

The boats that didn't make it but still look awesome (On the spit out of Homer, AK

I kept riding out of Homer, down East End Rd., and did a short hike up at  Eyesight State Park

My favorite muddy fisherwomen friend, Michelle....

Rolling down into the park with the sun nice and bright

Make sure you remember step #2 of if a grizzle bear attacks....
A cartoon map of  adventure to come....
Starting the hike up to the Icefeilds as a cold front begins setting in.

Trying to get off the mountain QUICK!!

And, yup, I made it back to the tropics

But a rather cold tropics....
And as the night came along, (Photo taken at about 11:00PM), so did more rain... and the rain has drizzled on... and on... and on... Nevertheless I will soon push further north and do my best to find the sun.

I may now really disappear for some time to come.... So wish me some sun as ride into the clouds....
